At bröd we start the day with a quiet cup of coffee while setting the dough for bread and buns to rise, roasting our muesli and preparing the menu of the day. All our recipes are ‘authentic’ from Grandma’ archives. Also the one for the homemade jam that made the house smell so delightful of sun & summer

LUNCH | SMØRREBRØD

‘Smørrebroed’ is the essence of a traditional, Danish lunch … classics that we remember from the summer lunch on Grandma’s balcony. Now as then we whip our mayonnaise & the characteristic ‘remoulade’, use the old recipe for ‘authentic’, Danish chicken salad, source our ingredients locally … and make the kitchen smell of fresh herbs.

And don’t forget the tradition … a cold beer & a good snaps!

We grind the newly roasted coffee beans from a local supplier when you order. You will always get a double-shot unless you ask for a mild coffee.To give the coffee perfect sweetness and the best foam we choose whole milk for the varieties containing milk. That’s how coffee should be served!
